A Brief Guide To Santiago De Compostela – Spain.txt – Silverware …
May 14th, 2012Santiago de CompostelaDid the question “What’s My Purpose in My Life” ever cross your mind? Have you felt an inner desire to go on a sabbatical? Well, there’s a place in Spain, called Santiago de Compostela – here you can decipher your destined path and seek the answers to life’s questions. With a Eurail pass, you can journey to the blessed Santiago de Compostela. It is a place not just for someone seeking for a pious journey, because it also boasts of a rich history and an urban and ecological rebirth which lures countless tourists to its unique ambiance.History Of Santiago de CompostelaA World Heritage City and the capital of Galicia, Santiago is also the focal point of institutional amenities which is impeccably located on the Atlantic Axis. The foundation of this vibrant city is based on a rather outlandish story. According to the myth, after the execution of St. James, or Santiago Ap贸stol, in AD 44 in Jerusalem, two of his disciples transported his body in a boat made of stone to the distant part of Spain from the Holy Land. The disciples reached Padr贸n where they buried the body of St. James in a location 17km inshore. Legend has it that a devout recluse found the grave of Santiago Ap贸stol in 813 by following a star, where the name ‘Compostela’ originated, from the corrupted Latin word of compus stella. The supposed grave came to be a symbol of assembly for Spanish Christians and the King Alfonso II built a church directly above the remains of St. James, which was flocked by wayfarers then and now.Things To Do In Santiago de CompostelaWhat to do in Santiago de Compostela? Artistically the city of Santiago has several splendid monuments to see. There is, of course, the Cathedral de Santiago de Compostela that shouldn’t be missed. Coru帽a, which is the capital of the province, is another site to visit since it is laden with beautiful beaches and the Torre de H茅rcules. During the month of April, the streets are buzzing with tourists and pilgrims all anticipating and thrilled to celebrate the Semana Santa, or Holy Week, as well as the Feast of St. Lazarus, where religious processions are seen throughout the city.In July, the city celebrates the Festival of St. James, where several programs, exhibitions, concerts and street shows are being held for a period of 10 days. Moreover, the nightlife of Santiago de Compostela is also a great way to enjoy the city after a day’s historical exploration. For shopping and souvenirs, you can grab two of the city’s signature crafts which are silverware and jet ware at Virxe da Cerca.

Are You Looking For Instructions on How to Bead … – Silverware
May 14th, 2012Perhaps you, too, have seen beautifully beaded flatware pieces before and would like to know how to create these stunning pieces on your own. It can be difficult to decipher what tools and resources are needed to create these pieces. Here are some tips that I have compiled to help get you started.First, decide what colors you would like to use. It is most appealing when you can coordinate with your either the colors of your place settings, or your dining room decor. You will need to be able to find a variety of glass beads in your chosen colors. Please note that the beads will need to have openings large enough to thread onto a wire.Second, you will have to find the particular flatware pieces that you would like to bead. It is best if you use flatware pieces that don’t already have embellishments on them since the handle is to be wrapped in beads. Looks for several different types of flatware pieces in a matching style so that you can create a full set of beaded flatware pieces. Finally, you will need some wire that is safe for using on food serving utensils. The wire will need to be malleable enough to wrap around the flatware, but strong enough not to break. Another important consideration in choosing a wire is to make sure that it is a wire from a type of metal that won’t rust. Now that you have your beads, flatware, and wire picked out, you will need to know just how to wrap the beads around the flatware. Knowing how to do this is the key to creating beautifully beaded flatware pieces on your own. In order to do this, you will need detailed instructions complete with pictures showing you step by step how to bead flatware yourself.
